Quality starts with what a piece is made from. We select our materials for their feel, finish, durability and everyday wearability — so your jewellery doesn’t just look good when it’s new, but is made to be worn.
Our rings are crafted from tungsten carbide, an exceptionally hard and dense material known for its substantial weight and excellent scratch resistance.
Unlike softer precious metals, tungsten holds its shape and polished finish exceptionally well over time. Its natural weight also gives it the solid, substantial feel that makes it particularly suited to men’s rings.

Our chains and bracelets are crafted from high-grade stainless steel, chosen for its combination of durability, comfort and lasting appearance.
Stainless steel is naturally resistant to corrosion, tarnishing and everyday moisture, making it a practical choice for jewellery designed to be worn regularly. It is also lead-free and skin-friendly.

Our gold-coloured pieces are finished using PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) rather than conventional electroplating.
During the PVD process, an extremely thin layer of material is bonded to the surface under vacuum. This creates a finish with better adhesion and wear resistance than traditional plating, helping the colour withstand everyday wear for longer.
It gives us the rich look of gold while retaining the strength and practicality of the material underneath.

All AKOA jewellery includes a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects, giving you extra peace of mind with your purchase.
If you believe there is a manufacturing fault with your piece, simply get in touch with us and we’ll assess it and help make it right.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, loss, or damage caused by improper care.

You can return eligible items within 14 days of receiving your order for a refund, provided they are unworn, unused and returned in their original condition and packaging.
Simply log a return, or get in touch with us and we’ll guide you through the return process. We’ll arrange the return either by courier collection from your address or via a nearby PUDO locker, whichever is most convenient for you.
A R120 return & restocking fee applied to standard returns & exchanges (excl. first free size exchange for rings).

Orders are shipped nationwide with The Courier Guy from our facility in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
Orders placed before 12:00 on weekdays are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 on Friday, on a weekend or public holiday are dispatched on the following workday.
Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive tracking details so you can follow it right to your door.

We dispatch weekday orders placed before 12:00 the same day, so your order can get on its way as quickly as possible.

Most orders are delivered within 2–5 business days. Deliveries in and around Cape Town may arrive sooner, while orders travelling to Johannesburg, Durban and other regions may take a little longer depending on the destination.

That’s why every ring purchase includes one free size exchange, so you can order with peace of mind knowing you’ll get the right fit.
